IS 6103 : 1971 Method of test for specific resistance (resistivity) of electrical insulating liquids

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the method for the determination ofspecific resistance (resistivity) applied to new electricalinsulating liquids, as well as to liquids in service, or subsequentto service, in cables, transformers, circuit-breakers, and otherelectrical apparatus.

1.2 This method covers a procedure for making referee tests withdc potential.

1.3 When it is desired to make routine determinations requiringless accuracy, certain modifications to this method are permittedas described in 18 to 25.
