1 Scope

This standard covers the dimensions and requirements forscrewing taps for parallel pipe threads Rp series threadsconforming to IS 554 : 1985 Dimensions for pipe threads wherepressure tight joints are made on threads (third revision) rangefrom Rp 1/15 to Rp 4 with relieved shank. This may be used as ahand screwing tap as well as a machine screwing tap.
