IS 6200 : Part 2 : 2004 Statistical Tests of Significance - Part 2 : x2-Test

1 Scope

This standard lays down application of x²-testfor:

a) testing of population variance against specified value,

b) testing for goodness of fit by comparing the observedfrequencies with the theoretical or expected frequencies, and

c) testing for independence in the case of contingency tables.

Each test has been illustrated with the help of examples.
