IS 624 : 2003 Bicycles - Rims - Specification

1 Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions and other requirements ofbicycle rims made out of steel and alloy suitable for tyres of thesame sizes, conforming to IS 2414 : 1991 `Cycle and rickshawpneumatic tyres - Specification. This standard covers thefollowing four profiles of the rims:

a) Beaded edge (BE) - (Earlier known as Westwood),

b) Straight side (SS) - (Earlier known as Endric),

c) Hooked bead (HE), and

d) Crotchet (C).
