IS 6280 : 1971 Specification for sewage screens

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the materials, dimensions and methodsof construction of screens used in treatment plants for domestic aswell as municipal sewages, the latter often containing a variety ofindustrial wastes.

1.2 This standard shall also be applicable to wholly industrialwastes where screens are intended to be used.

1.3 The standard does not cover fine screens and communitorssince these are not yet in common use at present in India.
