IS 6418 : 1971 Cast iron and malleable cast iron flanges for general engineering purposes

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers cast iron and malleable cast ironflanges for general engineering purposes. The flanges shall beapplicable from 0� to 300�C foroil, water, steam, compressed air, gases and other non-corrosivefluids.

1.2 The type of gasket and gasket materials are not covered inthe standard and shall be subject to agreement between themanufacturer and the purchaser.
