IS 6419 : 1996 Welding rods and bare electrodes for gas shielded arc welding of structural steel

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements of solid fillerrods and wires for welding structural steels by inert-gas tungstenarc welding (TIG), gas metal arc welding (MIG) or CO2 weldingprocesses. The chemical composition and tensile properties offiller rods and wires are also specified.

1.2 This standard also specifies the mechanical properties ofweld deposits.
