IS 6548 : 1992/ISO 1224 : 1984 Rolling bearings - Instrument precision bearings

National Foreword

This Indian Standard, which is identical with ISO 1224 : 1984`Rolling bearings - Instrument precision bearings', issued by theinternational Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adoptedby the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of theRolling Bearings Sectional Committee (LM 12) and approval of theLight Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

The standard was originally published in 1972 and was based onISO/R 1224 : 1971 `Rolling bearings - Instrument precisionbearings', issued by ISO. The revision has been made by theadoption of the revised ISO 1224 : 1984. In this revision symbolsfor different dimensions and tolerances have been standardized.
