IS 6679 : 1972 Test chart for general purpose gear shaping machines (Table diameter up to 1000 mm)

1 Scope

Describes both geometrical and practical tests on generalpurpose gear shaping machines having pinion type cutters and thecorresponding permissible deviations with reference to IS 2063 :1962 `Code for testing machine tools.

1.1 It deals only with the verification of accuracy and appliesneither to the testing of the running of the machine (vibrations,abnormal noises, stick slip motion of components, etc) nor to themachine characteristics (speeds, feeds, etc) which shall generallybe checked before testing the accuracy.
