This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 8734 : 1997`Parallel pins, of hardened steel and martensitic stainless steel(Dowel pins) issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standardson the recommendation of the Bolts, Nuts and Fasteners AccessoriesSectional Committee and approval of the Basic and ProductionEngineering Division Council.
