NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 10642 : 2019 ‘Fasteners - Hexagon socket countersunk head screws with reduced loadability’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the General Engineering and Fasteners Standards Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1994 and subsequently revised in 2013. Second revision of this standard was identical with ISO 10642 : 2004 ‘Hexagon socket countersunk headscrews’ issued by the ISO. The third revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 10642.
