This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 8319-1:1996 `Orthopaedic instruments - Drive connections - Part 1: Keys for use which screws with hexagon socket heads' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of Orthopedic Instruments and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
