NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) (Second Revision) which is identical with CISPR 11 : 2016 ‘Industrial, scientific and medical equipment - Radio-frequency disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1977 and was largely based on CISPR 11 : 1975. It was subsequently revised in 1999 and that was based on CISPR 11 : 1997. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of CISPR 11 : 2016.
