NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 3) (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 2904 : 2020 ‘ISO metric trapezoidal screw threads - Basic dimensions’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation(s) of the General Engineering and Fasteners Standards Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1973 and subsequently revised in 1988. First revision of this stanadard was based on ISO 2904 : 1977 ‘ISO metric trapezoidal screw threads - Basic dimensions’, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 2904 : 2020.
