NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 11) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 5979 : 1982 ‘Rubber or plastics coated fabrics - Determination of flexibility - Flat loop method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation (s) of the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This Indian Standard was published in 1987 which was an indigenous standard formulated based on ISO 5979 : 1982 ‘Rubber or plastic coated fabrics - Determination of flexibility - Flat loop method’.

The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with ISO 5979 : 1982 ‘Rubber or plastics coated fabrics - Determination of flexibility - Flat loop method’.
