IS 7028 : Part 3 : 2002 Performance Test for Complete, Filled Transport Packages - Part 3 : Horizontal Impact Tests (Horizontal or Inclined Test; Pendulum Test)

1 Scope

This standard (Part 3) specifies methods of horizontal impacttesting (horizontal or inclined plane test and pendulum test) on acomplete, filled transport package or a unit load. The test may beperformed either as a single test to investigate the effects ofhorizontal impact or as part of a sequence of tests designed tomeasure the ability of a package or a unit load to withstand adistribution system that includes a horizontal impact hazard.
