1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies a method of conducting a verticalimpact test on a complete, filled transport package by dropping. Itmay be performed either as a single test to investigate the effectsof vertical impact or as part of a sequence of tests designed tomeasure the ability of a package to withstand a distribution systemthat includes a vertical impact hazard.
