1 SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part 8) specifies a method for testing theresistance of a complete, filled transport package or a unit loadto water spray or the protection it gives to its contents fromwater spray. It may also be used to precondition a complete, filledtransport package or a unit load prior to another test toinvestigate reduction in strength caused by exposure to water.

1.2 The test is performed on the test specimen as prepared fortransport and may form part of a test sequence.
