1. SCOPE

This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances and material requirement of inspection gauges recommended for checking the taper threads on valve stems and the taper threads on cylinder necks for compressed gas cylinders threads conforming to “Type IV (Sizes 1, 2 and 3) taper 1:8 on diameter” of IS 3224.
