IS 7215 : 1974 Tolerances for fabrication of steel structures

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers tolerances on dimensions forfabrication of steel structures manufactured by riveting, boltingor welding.

1.2 The tolerances specified in this standard do not apply tostructures like steel railway bridges which require closertolerances.

1.3 This standard is not applicable to thin welded constructionas in the case of box girders.
