IS 7306 : 1974 Methods for determining synchronous machin quantities from tests

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down methods for determiningcharacteristics quantities from tests of three-phase synchronousmachines having ratings of 1 kVA and above and frequency from 15 to400 Hz.

1.1.1 The test methods are not intended to apply to specialsynchronous machines, such as permanent-magnet field machines,inductor type machines, etc.

Note - For single-phase machines or polyphase machines otherthan three-phase, modification will be needed in some cases, butthey can usually be readily determined.
