Scope

This standard (Part 1) covers description of porous tubepiezometer with connected accessories, the installation procedureand maintenance, method of taking observations, record andpresentation of data for earth and rock fill dams.

The provisions of this code suitably modified may also beapplicable to porous tube piezometer installations in earthenembankments.
