1.1 This standard (Part 4) covers symbols for metamorphic rocksfor use in geological maps, sections and logs of bore holes, testpits, exploratory drifts and shafts for river valley projects. Rocktypes covered in the standard are restricted to those commonly metwith in engineering practice.
