NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 18526-2 : 2020 ‘Eye and face protection - Test methods - Part 2: Physical optical properties’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Occupational Safety and Health Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

IS 7524 (Part 2) was originally published in 1975 and revised in 1979 to align with ISO/DIS 4854. Now that ISO 4854 has been withdrawn and superseded by ISO 18526 series of standards. The second revision of this standard has been undertake to align it with the latest version of ISO 18526-2 : 2020.
