IS 7719 : 2024 Metallic Spiral Wound Gaskets - Specification
1 SCOPE
1.1 This standard covers the material, construction, dimensions and tolerances, tests, and general requirements for metallic spiral wound gaskets with outer rings and inner rings for use in steel flanges with a flat face and raised face.
1.2 Spiral wound gaskets are identified by pipe flange size and its pressure class rating. 1.3 The sizes and pressure class ratings covered in this standard are given below:
a) Flange size [nominal pipe size (NPS)] - 15 mm to 1 500 mm as per Table 8A, Table 8B,Table 8C and Table 8D; and
b) Pressure rating - 1.0 MPa to 16.6 MPa (see below):
