1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part I) covers tests and general requirements requirements relating to variable capacitors used in electronic and telecommunication equipment.

1.1.1 This general requirements and tests described in this standard are applicable to each section of multi-section capacitors, unless other wise specified in the relevant individual specification.

1.2 This does not include electronically variable capacitors such as semi-conductor variable capacitors.
