IS 781 : 1984 Specification for cast copper alloy screw down bib taps and stop valves for water services

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers requirements of copper alloy screw downbib taps and stop valves suitable for cold non-shock workingpressure up to 1.0 MPa. Bib taps shall have screwed male inlet.Stop valves shall have screwed female ends or male ends or mixedends (mixed ends means one end screwed male and the other endscrewed female).

Note - Cold service means a temperature not exceeding 45�C.
