IS 7867 : 2024 Textiles - Continuous Filament Polyamide (Nylon 6) Yarn - Specification
1 SCOPE
1.1 This standard specifies requirements for all types of Nylon 6 continuous single multifilament or monofilament flat yarn for various end usages. This standard covers the requirements for both dyed and undyed nylon continuous filament yarn.
1.2 This standard does not specify requirements for parallel, tow and top, doubled or plied nylon yarns.
1.3 This standard is not applicable to biodegradable nylon yarns and Nylon 6,6 yarns.
NOTE - Nylon filament yarn specified in this standard is neither intended to be used as manjha nor intended to be used for manufacturing of any kind of manjha. Manjha refers to a type of string traditionally used for kite flying.
