IS 8008 : Part 6 : 2003 Injection Moulded/Machined High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Fittings for Potable Water Supplies - Specification - Part 6 : Specific Requirements for Pipe Ends

1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 6) covers the requirements for material,manufacture, dimensions and tolerances and marking of all types ofinjection moulded and machined HDPE pipe ends for potable water supplies.

1.2 Pipe ends from 20 mm to 315 mm shall be manufactured by the injectionmoulding methods and machined wherever so required. Pipe ends of 355 mmand above shall be manufactured from machining process from thick walledextruded pipes or compression moulded slabs.
