IS 804 : 1967 Rectangular pressed steel tanks

1 Scope

1.1 This specification lays down the requirements for thematerials, fabrication, erection and supply of rectangular pressedsteel tanks used for the storage of cold and hot water and certainother liquids under pressure not greater than the static headcorresponding to the depth of the tank.

1.2 This specification does not cover the requirements of tanksstoring liquids having temperature higher than 100�C, or those tanks subject to earth or other externalpressures besides wind pressure.
