NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 12), which is identical with ISO 10765 : 2010 ‘Footwear - Test method for the characterization of elastic materials - Tensile performance’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Footwear Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

Under the general title ‘Method of test for footwear’, this standard is being published in several other parts. This part is an adoption of ISO 10765 : 2010 which specifies a test method for the determination of some typical parameters of elastics for footwear using the strength/elongation graph, which is obtained from the tensile strength test. This method is applicable to any elastic material used for footwear
