NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 19) which is identical with ISO 22776 : 2004 ‘Footwear - Test methods for accessories: Touch and close fasteners - Shear strength before and after repeated closing’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Footwear Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

This Indian Standard published as a part of IS 8085 under the general title ‘Method of test for footwear’. This part is an adoption of ISO 22776 : 2004 which specifies a test method for determining the longitudinal shear strength of touch and close fasteners before and after repeated use.
