NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 1823 : 2015 ‘Rubber hose and hose assemblies for oil suction and discharge service - Specification’, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation(s) of the Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1976 which was an indigenous standard formulated by taking assistance from ISO/R 1823 : 1970 ‘Rubber hoses for oil suction and discharge’ and British Standard 1435 : 1968 ‘Specification for rubber hose, wire-reinforced, for oil suction and discharge services’.
