NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 61082-1 : 2014 ‘Preparation of documents used in electrotechnology - Part 1: Rules’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Basic Electrotechnical Standard and Power Quality Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard covers the guide for preparation of diagrams, charts and tables for electrotechnology which was previously covered in IS 8270 (Part 1) : 1976, IS 8270 (Part 3) : 1977, IS 8270 (Part 4) : 1977, IS 8270 (Part 5) : 1976 and IS 8270 (Part 6) : 1983 identical to IEC 60113-1 : 1971, IEC 60113-3 : 1974, IEC 60113-4 : 1975, IEC 60113-5 : 1975 and IEC 60113-6 : 1976 respectively.
