IS 8288 : 1976 Specification for Bakeable Flanges

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the dimensions of fixed or rotatablebolted bakeable flanges used in vacuum systems where pressure understeady conditions is less than 10-5 Pa. These flanges may also beused in those parts connected with the vacuum system where thevacuum is not so high.

1.2 The standard covers two series of flange dimensions, thepreferred series and secondary series. The preferred series ofdimensions ensure compatibility with the flanges conforming to IS6076 : 1971. The secondary series is corresponding to flanges incommon use.
