IS 8449 : 1999 Non-returnable metal aerosol dispensers

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies materials, construction and testingof non-returnable metal aerosol dispensers with a maximum internalpressure of 11 bar at 55�C.

Note - 1 bar = 1 x 10⁵ Pa = 1 x 10² kPa = 1.020 kgf/cm²

1.2 The maximum internal diameter and brimful capacity of thecontainers covered in this standard shall not exceed 65 mm and 1000ml respectively.

1.3 This standard deals only with the containers and not withthe associated components, such as valves, spray heads, etc.

1.4 These containers are intended to be used for packingproducts only once and should under no circumstance be re-used.
