NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 16321-3 : 2021 ‘Eye and face protection for occupational use - Part 3: Additional requirements for mesh protectors’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Occupational Safety and Health Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1994 under the title ‘Industrial safety face shields - Specification: Part 2 With wire-mesh visor’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 16321-3 : 2021.
