1. Scope

1.1 This standard covers the dimensions, material, tests and general requirements for various types of couplings and drawbars used in mines for connecting mine tubs in a set of tubs and having a minimum safe working load of 50 kN. Table given at Annex B may be referred as a reference for safe working load of couplings made of different materials.

1.2 This shall be applicable to all the types of Mine Tub Couplings and Draw Bars, as annexed to this standard and mentioned as Types A, B, C, D, E and F.
