IS 8685 : 1977 Aircraft lamps

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the technical requirements which ensurethe quality and interchangeability of aircraft electrical filamentlamps of 28 volts, for use in ambient temperature up to 50�C. It also includes the methods of test and theconditions of compliance.

Note 1 - When specified by the purchaser, the lamps can bedelivered with bulb finishes other than those listed in Table 1.Lamps with such requirements shall, in their clear version, complywith the requirements as specified in this standard for clearlamps.

Note 2 - The specific requirements relating to each type of lampare given in the relevant data sheets.
