This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 3660 : 1976 `Fishing nets -Mounting and joining of netting - Terms and illustrations', issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureauof Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Textile Materials forMarine/Fishing Purposes Sectional Committee and approval of the Textile DivisionCouncil.

Only the English language text in the international standard has beenretained while adopting it in this Indian Standard.
