1 Scope

1.1 This code (Part 5) deals with loads and load effects due totemperature changes, soil and hydrostatic pressures, internallygenerating stresses (due to creep, shrinkage, differentialsettlement, etc), accidental loads etc, to be considered in thedesign of buildings as appropriate. This part also includesguidance on load combinations. The nature of loads to be consideredfor a particular situation is to be based on engineering judgement.
