IS 8762 : 1978 General requirements and testing of certified half size lower deck container for high capacity aircraft

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies design, fabrication and performance testing oftwo sizes of general purpose, lower-deck, half-size, pre-loaded containers fortransportation by air.

Note : The Size I containers are suitable for use in high capacity aircraftlike B-747, DC-10, L-1011 and A-300B. The Size II containers are bigger involume and are suitable for B-747 airplanes only.
