1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 2) specifies the requirements ofdielectric and jacket materials for winding wires for submersiblemotors.

1.2 The types of materials covered by this standard are as givenbelow:

Type 1 HR PVC insulated wires for maximum ratedconductor temperatureof 85?C.

Type 2 XLPE insulated and polyamide jacketed wiresfor maximum rated conductortemperature of 105?C.

Type 3 Polyester and polypropylene insulated wiresfor maximum rated conductortemperature of 105?C.
