IS 8818 : 1977 Method for measurement of petroleum gases and town gas in bulk

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down methods for measurement of bulkquantities of petroleum gases and town gas. It prescribes:

a) the suitability of various available measuring devices fordifferent

conditions;

b) requirements for measuring devices for the measurement ofpetroleum

gases and town gas, when stored and handled in bulk;

c) calculation;

d) sampling, wherever required for laboratory determination; and

e) calibration.

1.1.1 This standard excludes measurement storage.
