1. Scope

1.1 This standard specifies thestandard method of measurement of lamp cap temperature rise which is to be used when testing lamps for general lighting services for compliance with IS : 418 -1978*.

It also describes the test lampholders to be used for lamps fitted with E27, E40 and B22/25 × 26 caps.
