IS 8964 : 1999 Safety Conditions for Woodworking Machines - Recommendations

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down recommendations with regard tosafety provisions for woodworking machines and their accessories.

1.2 These recommendations do not cover protective measuresoutside of the machine itself (organization of workshops,installation of machines, protection against fire, health measures,etc) and are designed to make clear the point of view of themanufacturers of woodworking machines concerning measures ofprotection relating to design, manufacturing, sale and usc of thesemachines.
