IS 8985 : 1978 Single walled baking ovens

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the performance, general and safetyrequirements and methods of test for single walled baking ovens forbaking and grilling designed for household use. These ovens are tobe designed for connection to supplies at voltage not exceeding 250V ac single-phase 50 Hz and/or dc with power input up to 20 kW.

1.2 This standard does not cover double walled cooking ovenswhich are covered by IS 5790 : 1970.
