This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 6555 : 1988`Shipbuilding - Topping winches' issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendations of the Marine Engineeringand Safety Aids Sectional Committee and approval of the TransportEngineering Division Council.
