This Indian Standard (Part 7/Sec 7) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60068-2-75 : 2014 ‘Environmental testing - Part 2-75: Testsv —Test Eh: Hammer tests’ issued by International Electro technical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Environmental testing procedure Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2006 as IS 9000 (Part 7/Sec 7) : 2006 ‘Basic environmental testing procedures for electronic and electrical items: Part 7 Impact test, Section 7 Test Eh: Hammer tests’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60068-2-75 : 2014.
