IS 9029 : 1978 Methods of tests for batch furnaces with metallic heating resistors

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies methods of tests for industrialfurnaces heated indirectly with metallic heating elements (forexample, for heat treatment, hot forming, etc) in which theinternal atmosphere is composed of air not intentionally modified.

This standard applies to batch chamber, bell, elevator, shaft,carriage, or to furnaces of any similar construction. Thesefurnaces may be constructed either with or without forced aircirculation.
